When I try to import footage shot on the HVX (at 4801 24PA on the P2 card)
in my NLE It tells me it's 2.3 cadence (normal not 2:3:3:2). It also says the clip(s) are 29.97 not 23.976.
What am I doing wrong?

I'm using Avid.
23.976 project (non HD).
When I capture from the HVX tape (the traditional way) it works.
If I transfer from the P2 card and try to import into a 23.976 project then it does not work.
I guess it makes sense because the file created on the P2 card is 29.97 just like what's captured onto tape. It's the transfer from tape that applies the pulldown and flags the file.
I was so hoping to NOT use tape for awhile - you kind of get used to this P2 world :)
