Is the composite connector for the hvx proprietary or standard? Mine is starting to crap out on the red channel so I need to get a replacement asap.

Anyone know?

It's the componet cable you're talking about. There are a couple of places to get them. I posted a link to JVS's accessory site and got mine from them Wednesday, works fine (do a search for componet cable). The connector is called a "D4" and is mostly used in Japan only. I have been trying to find them to have a few high-end componet cables made and I've had to order them from overseas. There is a place called I-O Data that sells a 15 footer and I got one, but I've noticed a noticeable drop off in signal strength and rise in noise. Panasonic also sells the cable but they're backordered until mid-May.
