I shot some new tests here in San Francisco on a sunny day, mostly to test the motion smooth setting in "Advanced Process". Just curious about what it does. According to the manual "makes the video smoother by adding frames" when progressive shooting. It seems to do something and generally seems smoother when shooting moving objects.
Apologies for the slight "shaky-cam" shooting, I didn't put it on a tripod as it was part of the test (I wanted to see the handheld look slight shake combined with moving objects). I was shooting handheld on a monopod. It was also windy so I'm struggling to keep the shots steady.
These were captured on the Mac and they should come up as Quicktime files. For Windows users rename files to .m2t and .m2v and it should play in Windows Media or VLC Player.
The first file is just a latitude test shot with Paolo Ciccone's "Tru Color-1" setting slightly modified with a Black Stretch of 3/ Detail at -3/ Master Black at -1. HDV/ 720/30P Shutter at 60.
Alamo Square shot 1 (37 MB) (http://www.baypointbiosystems.com/transfer/Alamo-Sq.-1.zip)
Next we have a Motion Smooth OFF shot HERE (55MB) (http://www.baypointbiosystems.com/transfer/MotionSmooth-OFF.zip)
Then a Motion Smooth ON shot HERE (85 MB) (http://www.baypointbiosystems.com/transfer/MotionSmooth-ON.zip)
A pull back off the San Francisco skyline downtown to the famous "painted ladies" of San Francisco (This shot demonstrates the latitude of the camera well as it goes from bright sunny to dark shadowy in one shot): Alamo Square Shot 2 (34 MB) (http://www.baypointbiosystems.com/transfer/Alamo-Sq.-3.zip)
Kissing tourists shot at close range called LOVEY DOVEY (58 MB) (http://www.baypointbiosystems.com/transfer/Lovey-Dovey.zip) on Alamo Square - again good latitude test.
Enjoy
