Hey guys,
Ive redesigned my pepsi 35 and went down the PVC pipe direction. Now I am much happier with the results. However, I do have some quirks about it.
I was talking to some customers at work and I dont know if its the lens position or the ground glass itself, but light seem to be beam straight into the center of the GG creating dark corners and edges. Any fix to this?
Also I was wondering should the OIS be on or off?
Peace:kali: :love4:

Most people use a PCX lens on front of the ground glass, between the GG and camcorder, with the flat side of the lens facing the GG.
This is a good lens to try:

Thanks for the info.
I see the shape of the plano convex lens, its crosssection looks a lot like the ASIAN 10+ macro I buy in ebay.
If it is or it does the same thing, I rather get the asian since it fits snuggly in the pvc. But prove me wrong people.. prove me wrong
Peace
PS - Also, I like to point out that Im getting some internal reflection when I point to spotty light sources. I painted the inside matte black but Im suspecting 2 things. The UV filter on the DVX or I placed the fuzzy side of the ground glass facing to the camera and not to the lens as I usually do. Any ideas?

The PCX lens acts as a condenser, not as a magnifier. Well, if it is placed right NEXT to the GG it won't act as a magnifier. It basically realigns (condenses) the light rays so that you'll get more even lighting across your screen.
