Not sure if this thing was ever mentioned for the list of 35mm adaptors...Briceman told me about it..not sure if it was posted anywhere so i figured id post.

It has moving GG and is about $800

Loss in f/stops is .5 to .7 - very good..most would agree

Looks like the G35..only the G35 doesnt have moving parts in it.

Could be a nice competitor to the G35

ohhh...see i never knew that..i thought since they wanted to keep the price way under $1000...they wouldnt have any moving parts.

doesnt the G35 go for like $500 or something like that?

When you shoot with one of those 35mm adapters, does it change the way you shoot? I mean your footage will still be 4:3 apect ratio right? I would need to get the anamorphic to go 16:9 with my DVX.

No, the Brevis is actually "tweaked" to maximize image size for 16:9 cams. I shoot excusively in 16:9 through the adapter. 4:3 mode works great too of course. I don't believe anyone has attempted using the anamorphic adapter mounted to a 35mm lens, but with flange to GG tweaks, I suspect it would work. That would be a lot of glass in front of your DVX though.

Bob Gundu has done some great work with the HVX/Brevis, shooting HD.
