Requesting Logo

Hey everyone, since it seems like the time to get new logos for all the members of DVXuser I'd like to throw out a request as well. I've lurked on this forum for quite some time and only recently began posting. I've had the name of the production company for a while now, but can't seem to figure out exactly what logo would do the name justice. The name of the production company kind of came out of nowhere, so bare with me guys. It's called Water and Oil Productions. I'm not too sure what direction to take it in, so all ideas are open and there are no creative limits. If anyone wants to take a stab at trying to create a logo for me it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

EDIT: I did have a production logo before and it was rather nice but the name is copyrighted. I'll show you guys what it was anyway.

I have been working on a logo for some time now and can't get past my own creative mind. Grrrr.....
Maybe you can bring some new Ideas to my logo. Feel free to work it with it and change it however.
Feel free to totaly change it as well. I'm not sure I like this at all.

Wow, you really are amazing Owen! Man, that's a lot of choice. The one that struck out at me the most was DEFINITLEY the first out of the three most recently posted. I can see a lot of potential with that one (IE animated logos). If you could post the .psd of that one, it'd be great! I'll let some of the DVXusers post which one they think is the best so far. which one... the one in post #12? The original PSD files are all at 300dpi so you'll be fine on-screen or in print.

EDIT: here's the on in #12: [link (http://www.kalonmedia.com/bergfinal.zip)] I flattened it in case you don't want to install fonts, but if you need to change colors etc just install the included fonts and activate the "RAW FILES" layer. Everything is in that folder in an editable format.

The only photoshop I know comes from forced learning -- like "oh crap, I gotta make a full page ad by tomorrow??" or "these on-disc printing specs mean what??" "half-tone pantone skin tone full bleed 4/4 screen print WHAT?"

I got a headache.

Any minute now somebody with some serious photoshop know-how is going to come in here and stomp all over my attempts... and when he does we shall photoshop him right out of the thread!

Great logos! Post #65 is awesome. The bf looks really cool. I agree about being able to use the bf part only sometimes and the whole logo for others. I hate to ask, but can you try another font for the part that spells out bully films on #65. I would use it as is, but I thought I would ask. Also, #64 is cool too, but I really like #65. Thanks for taking the time to put all these together.

Hi Owen. The font is by Canadian Fredrick Nader (aka Apostrophe) who founded and ran Apostrophic Laboratories. I really like his work, but unfortunately I don't think he releases fonts any more. He is an incredibly dedicated and generous designer.

The font is 'Scriptina' and i do believe it is free.
