I read that you are out from the PDW-F330...

I can follow your "sensitivity" reason but despite this handicap don't you think that cam will be yet the best deal under $20,000?

The camera is a lot less sensitive than other cameras of the same type. Although I'm not sure what it is like in comparison to a 750 or 900. I'll have to look them up. XDCAM HD is rated at f9.

Yes, the camera is a bit noisier. I would be hesitant to use it with gain. The noise doesn't seem apparent during normal shooting. But as soon as the gain is turned on it becomes quite apparent. The SN rating of the XDCAM HD cameras is 54db. This compares with 64db (NTSC) of the PDW-5xx series. However this is exactly the same rating as the HDW-750 camera.

The music video I made with the F330 came out nicely. I'll be posting it up online soon.

Got to take the F350 to the hotel with me last night and "get familiar" with it :-)

Great cam. I'd rent it for my higher end jobs, and it's 100% a pro cam in every way (and I didn't expect anything but). Unfortunately the performance is closer to the XLH-1 in some areas (including res). Sony definitely did not give the signal processing on it 100% from what I overheard Adam talking about and I myself observed.

Too bad. Looks like the 2/3" XDCAM HD is gonna be the one that gets it completely right.

And about the F350 vs. HD100, any thoughts? Resolution, cinegamma properties, progressive mode(s), etc...

Emanuel,

Prehaps Mr. Boston was alluding to the fact that the suprise was that the H1 outperformed the 350 even with the higher bitrate.

EDIT -- In this case, it would be a surprise to all, not adressed to Alister Chapman. But 'til the publishing of the conclusions it will be wait and see.

Nope. I doubt it.
