I'm shooting a movie with a sony hd z1u and was wondering if anybody can tell me the difference with these two adapters (P+S Technik Mini35 vs. Redrock M2 35mm lens adaptor). There seems to be a huge discrepency in price. Also, does anybody know a good place in los angeles to find a redrock m2 35 adapter?
Thanks for your help.

My OPINION is, that you should definately go with the M2 micro 35. I was talking to Colin from digital interference and he has the Mini 35. He paid 11 g's for that. To me these lens adapters are perfect for those of us that can't afford to shoot on high end cameras or film , which allow you to switch lenses. So paying that much for one is , to me, INSANE. I mean 11 grand? For just teh adapter setup.... Why dont you just get a better camera. I would say even 1500 is pushing it for an adapter. I know the technical d00ds will get into lens distortion and ' i can see the grain man ' and all that, but for the price.. the letus35 ( which i have ) and m2 are great. Can't be beat. It seems the micro35 really has the least amount of distortion, minimal light loss, and is a good all around package.
I think, that when choosing an adapter, 2 things are most important
1. price
2. how much it DOESN"T f***up the image.
There have been a lot of clips posted on line and tests done... I"m sure you can find one that's right for you.
