Well i started another thread on how to get files from mac to pc and i got the answer :using macdrive :) Ok... well... now that i can access the files, i can't view mac saved quicktimes. I need to full HD quality files to be editable in after effects. But none of my programs can open the file. And the files themselves that are saved with FCP don't even have file extension names so i'm stuck. I tried to open them with quicktime but it's just a white screen. PLEASE if anybody knows how to get this to work i would be more than greatful, i have to get this off my harddrives to my pc so i can shoot, otherwise i'm stuck and i need to get this film done for a festival. Thanks

Short answer: you can't.
Longer answer: if you use Canopus Edius Broadcast or Avid XPress Pro HD, you can import those quicktime files into your timeline and export them as uncompressed files that AE could work with.
Another answer, almost all video that is compressed with QT itself on mac can be opened by QT on pc. But if you use a special codec on the mac (like Media 100, FCP-HD) that is nonstandard, the other computer canīt read it.
Export the files on the mac with FCP as film to QT uncompressed (extension .mov) framerate/size and bring them over to the PC and load them in AE.
I can' t read if you have the mac with FCP next to the pc but I assume you have. I did that with Media100 files and it worked.
EDIT: Otherwise choose export as/ with QT animation codec highest quality works always and is loseless.
