They're identical in quality.
The difference is that the DVCPRO25 mode includes some flags in the data stream that make it compatible with older DVCPRO25 decks and equipment. If you're shooting for a news station that has original DVCPRO equipment, you'd probably be better off shooting DVCPRO25 on your P2 cards, for compatibility.
