Really stupid question. Can you edit 24p and 24pa in AAE 6.5. If so how do you set that up.

Go to composition settings and chagne it there. I don't know why you would want to edit in AE, but to change the frame rate, it's all there.

No I'm not editing with it. Just wanted to put footage onto the timeline that was shot with the DVX 100a and shot in 24pa.
Just wanted to do a simple comp.

Also, right click on the file and go to Interptret File, then make sure your settings are correct. You will have to use a pulldown to have it put into progressive, and once you do, the file will behave as a 23.97 frame rate. THen drag the file down to the Create Comp from file button in your Library window and it makes the Comp to the exact specs for you.

Forgot about that...I'm so used to exporting it straight from FCP that I only use Interrupt Footage for checking on premult.

is there anyway to set the interptret options for all importet clips? so i dont need to make the same changes over and over when editing 25p footage. if i dont change the interpret option to "off" the picture looks pixaleted and bad resolution.
