Is there any news about Sony (Vegas) supporting DVCProHD?

No news. It looks like they're counting on Raylight as being their answer for supporting HVX files.

I think more editing systems need to get on board with the MXF format. I'm an Avid user and I VASTLY prefer it to OMF or any of the other file formats. It makes much more sense and is much more effecient.

Raylight converts the MXF files into AVI's that Vegas can edit. Download the trial version from DVFILM.COM/raylight and you can experiment with it.

Yeah I dont think Raylight is the best solution, but it works, albiet not to fast.
Its really too bad vegas dropped the ball on the HVX, I was extreamly loyal for so many years.

Jarred,
I was a Edius user from 1.0 but switched to Vegas because of how full the Vegas' software is without a huge hit in RT playback. I loved Edius tho'. How has your switch to Edius gone? Are you getting any RT with HVX files?
