Does the warranty that comes with the HVX extend to the P2 cards? Anyone have any information on this? I remember discussing the warranty on the camera itself with my dealer but nothing was ever mentioned concerning the cards. And what about people who purchase just a card from say, B&H. Are we only covered by B&H return policy?

Hi,
The P2 Cards are warranted by Panasonic as well and while I will double check today, I believe they have to same warranty as the camera 1 year parts and labor. That is held by Panasonic in the country of origin. Gray market cameras warranties are in their country of origin.
As I said though let me check on the cards to see if there is a difference, as there are lots of things that can happen to them. Had one guy wash his. He didn't say if it still worked, maybe it was in the plastic case.

Speaking of warranties, what is the best option for an extended warranty on the camera itself? I've heard of a "Mack" warranty mentioned here, but I am a little confused about it. Can you explain and recommend?
