Hello,

I am trying to get a fix on the sensitivity of the HVX200 shooting 720 30p. The specs say minimum illumination is 3 lux at f/1.6 but it doesn't spec the cameras sensitivity. Is that a minimum illumitation for DV or HD progressive or interlaced or are they all the same on the HVX? Anybody know the sensitivity in F/stop and lux for 720 30p or what the exposure factor would be compared to a Pd 150?

Thanks,

Drew Harty

It's 320 ASA/ISO.

On the HVX interlaced & progressive are the same sensitivity.

A PD150 is about the same sensitivity as a DVX100 which is around 500, or one stop more sensitiive. The HVX is cleaner than the DVX though so you can up the gain by +3db and it looks like a DVX even +6 is still very useable.
