Hello to all on this fine Friday night.

A friend an I are going over captured footage from a recent shoot, and we've come across some problems. We had a scene in a diner, and we had to shoot this in the early morning during a Nebraska winter. Long story short, it was bright as snap! During the shoot I was worried about overexposure, and I set my zebras at 80% and 105%. When I set the shot up, and when I reviewed the shot on viewfnder playback, I didn't notice the flickering so I thought I was safe.

Now that I'm going over the footage in Premiere, I think I might suffer from a seizure -- it's that noticeable.

Somebody please tell me After Effects can save me (or make the flickering less noticeable)

Fingers crossed,
Sean

What's the flicker from? Was it over exposed?
I think are de-flicker filters plugins available. Not sure what comes with AE these days.
Most deflicker programs work by sampling an area and then autoadjusting for everyframe so it matches.

It was a low-angle shot which put the character against a blue sky background. It would be safe to assume that the background was overexposed. I have the Magic Bullet plug-ins and the standard Adobe Premiere 1.5 effects (Although my Video Bundle should be coming some time next week...)

Any additional input?

In Premiere, just drop the auto levels effect on the offending clips and this should eliminate the flicker. This is an issue with Premiere 1.5 and 24P. This work around has worked for me.
