Is the PAL camera supported?
I had a go with the latest demo of broadcast...
The preset is listed, though strangely as 720/25 over 60. But when you got to capture it's not there. The only "PAL" style format available to capture was 1080i/25, which did work.
Not sure whether something is disabled or not.

Yes the demo version has
Canopus HD 1080/50i
Canopus HD 720/25p over 60p
And when opening the window for capture Input device Generic OHCI it has only Canopus HD 1080/50i
I didn't see anything like 1080i/25, but I guess the problem is that no 720p 25p over 50p is around. 1080i/50i probably will work in a 25p 1080i file , but we still need confirmation on this (actually as far as I understood in EDIUS those are the output settings. So it does not matter if your footage is in 720p 25p over 50p as long as you dont mind exporting it at 1080/50i....in my case it sure does of caurse.) And since this is still a little comfusing for me not having much of EDIUS experience I will leave the joy of explaning some more this Edius logic to a more experienced user.
Anyone with the original version ? Barry ?

The reason for the oddity in the format specs is two-fold...
First, much of it is oriented at VariCam, where you get extra fields/frames.
Second, when used with EDIUS output hardware, the hardware itself (at least currently, I'm not sure how fixed the limitation is) will only output 50 or 60 Hz, partly for compatibility with current HD displays.
Note that the capture and export options can be restricted by the project setting you're in, as well.
