probobly answered in another thread, my apologies, but how would i export my 24pn (23.98) footage to 29.97 for a digibeta tape or any other format? would i change it in my sequence first? I also need to make a High Res quicktime in 29.97. Does it work the same way the dvx100 24p footage work? Any help would be appreciated.

In Final Cut Pro, for example, just play your sequence live to tape, but note off to the left of the timeline there's a drop-down menu where you select which pulldown cadence you want to apply. You physically cannot record a progressive signal to tape without it, it's just a matter of which one you prefer. The closest thing to a standard is 2:3:2:3, which has the smoothest look on television. For a 29.97 Quicktime, you just export it with a 29.97 frame rate.

Flash, it's not that easy. You can't just play out a 720p24 file and expect it to be down converted to NTSC. You need dedicated hardware that can handle this process. The AJA Kona 2 does a fantastic job of down converting your HD to NTSC. It will add the pulldown correctly for you on SD-SDI output to digibeta.

Oops, I didn't check the forum name. I just hit "new posts" when I log on. Didn't realize it was 720p HVX. My bad. But this does work in standard-def DV.
