Seriously.

I just received the DVX100B recently and am waiting for the book/DVD. Could be another month still. I have been working on my hero-fest short script. My partner in crime and I have this weekend to do some shooting tests (Last minute arrangement). Our test time is limited... that would be why I ask for any good sole in southern california to loan/sell me their DVX book/dvd (by Friday :)). We can work out a deal... I could replace it with my new one when it arrives, etc.

Fellow southern california DVX users unite!

No, I'm not crazy or lazy.

Justin,
Just do your thing with the camera this weekend. Browse this site for tips and you'll be fine. When the book comes then you can do it all over again! : )

You are right. I was just trying to be efficient in learning the cam in time for hero-fest. April is locked up and there will be no shooting time for either of us. We will be using all of May to shoot, edit, score, etc. Anyway, we just wanted to learn as much as we could this weekend since we both are free to shoot.

I know there has to be a couple of DVXusers close by.

Yea, you see it, that DVX book sitting all dusty on your desk... you haven't used the DVD since you watched it 50 times in a row when you first got it. Your thinking about it... It this guy trying to find out where I live? What is he doing? Then it hits you and you ask yourself, "what have I done to aid in another's creative freedom lately?" You use google maps... "cool" you say (if you are in San Dimas, you say riotous) "I live less than an hour from this guy in Colton, CA 92324!" I could PM him and have him meet me at X coffee shop near my house."

You meet this guy and lend him the DVD and book. One your way home you think to yourself... "He seemed like a really nice guy".

10 days later, your open your mailbox and find the book and DVD just as the guy promised. You smile inside... Maybe this world is goint to be okay after all.

The End.
