Sorry if I threw you off, but no, I don't have a video. But I will... soon.

Question or two first:

1) Is Twixtor Pro (I have a friend hooking me up) useful for time remapping,
as in, time-lapsing? Or should I go another route? Which leads to my next question...

2) If Twixtor Pro is not the best route, what is?
What settings on my 100b?
Thanks for the help. I want to do some lapsing for an upcoming film festival.

You need to describe the type of time remapping you would like to do. Slow down, speed up, or variable speed changes? Or a basic time-lapse compressed down to a shorter amount of time?

There's some good posts on the site regarding how to best do basic time-lapse shots. The best way I've seen and done myself is by shooting the sequence with a digital camera hooked up to a computer with interval recording software.

Here's a cheapo option. Get Scenalyzer. It'll let you discard x number of frames inbetween each frame it captures, and then rebuilds the avi by stacking the frames it does pull into a 60i timeline. So, you just film 20-30 minutes of DV, then tell Scenalyzer to capture every 20th or 30th or ?? frame. You end up shooting a lot more footage, but it works great, and the file you end up with in the end is small. The alternative is to speed up in your NLE, but you'll only be able to speed it up so fast, and you're looking at long renders probably. Maybe someone else has another approach?

Hate to bump, but let's say that, tomorrow morning, I was going to set up on my roof and catch sunrise (from twilight to mid-way sunrise, which is from about 5:30, to 7 AM). All I have is my DVX100b, my Letus35A, Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects, and a good view. I want to know my best route here.

I tried to do this all this morning but my roof was too slippery so i was going to wait to do this tomorrow.

Hate to be a nuisance..

Go shoot it - then speed it up in post

I'm really at a loss for what you're looking for here - I think it's pretty cut and dry...

I gave you a cheap and very effective solution, but I guess you didn't listen or care. Oh well, I tried. Bottom line is this. You have a 100B, the only thing you can do is shoot it first. Then you can figure out what to do with it later. Maybe there is a direct-to-computer solution, but not sure.
