Brandon are you still here. Today I tried to export footage back to the P2 card shot in 720/24pn. I could only get it to work only in 1080/60.
Will it export the 720/24pn I tried all the camera settings. Maybe I overlooked something
Thanks

Hi Mule,

Unfortunately I don't know the answer on that one... You're in a 720p project setting, or does it not offer the P2 Exporter in 720p?

Yes it has the 720/24p But no 720/24 pn . When I set it to 720p it transfers back to 1080/60. I will work with it again Tue AM. The footage was shot in 720/24pn overcrank mode, 60 frames to get 10 min per 4g P2 Card. I have 5 min of video in the timeline and trying to export back to 1 P2 card.
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Hmm... Not sure on that. The hardware has 720p over 60i modes, but the software does not. Seems to be dancing the line between the functionality of
the VariCam and P2 modules. I have to go digging through my emails.

Hi mule,

Just a question: what is 720/24pn overcrank mode, 60 frames per second?
You have thoroughly shaken my impression of having a grasp over the frame rate settings and their functioning...

I thought the 24pn mode meant only 24 frames were actually recorded to the p2 card, as opposed to 60 frames with pulldown. How then can you overcrank to 60fps and still record 10 minutes to the 4gb p2 card? Aren't you going back to a scenario where 60 frames worth of data are being recorded to p2 every second instead of 24, putting rec time back down to 4 minutes?

I'd love to be wrong!

:)
