Hello not sure if this is where to post this question but here it goes...
I have just Digitized about 25 minutes of Super8 film that was shot 18fps.
Here is the set-up for doing this:
- Optical Printer
A super8/16mm projector set to advance 1 frame at a time controlled by a mac
A Canon GL1 video camera connected to Mac via firewire
So the image is projected into the GL1, advanced a frame at a time, and captured onto the mac through a capture program.
Now the final file spit out is a Quicktime file but when played back it is at 29.97fps.
You with me here?
So it looks fast because it is playing back at 29.97fps NOT 18fps. My question is, is there a way to conform this to something? Since I need to sync the audio that was taken off the Super8 to this video file what should I do? I'm pretty much stuck at this point.
Thanks for any help. or if you need more clarification, ask me.
