View Full Version : 35mm lense?
I'm not sure what to look for here. I've seen some nice 35m adapters for decent prices, but in the way of lenses I do not know. I'm trying to find something relatively inexpensive honestly.
Does anyone have any info or particular lenses that are inexpensive that I can look at?
thanks in advance.

Sg35? or you can go to the DIY section and check out Blk new adapter which he will have for sale sometime soon maybe, called the Go35.
ah yeah, well I have a few adaptors in mind already, it's the lenses I have a question about...I've no idea on what to look for honestly but it has to be affordable.
Rez it depends on the adapter, and what the usage will be. Micro35 bayonets recommend Nikon, and whoever you end up buying from will discuss particular lens choices with you, depending on your project and their adapter.

I'm buying the M2 soon, and will be using Canon FD lenses. Ncje, what do you mean when you say that quality FD lenses are very expensive? Ive been checking on and off on Ebay for Canon FD lenses, and I seem to be finding a wide assortment of them from $40-$150...Are these lenses rubbish?

Hmm Im not entirely sure if the specific lenses you are looking at is rubbish. But I checked out many before I purchased, most had small occlusions, some had smoking. I found it almost impossible to find a perfect lens, so in actual fact I gave up. Mine cost me around USD$250 each, I bought them in Japan and inspected them before purchase. The lenses I chose were the best I could find at a reasonable price. The best 24mm f1.4 I found was about $600, but after testing some others found no issues so i got the next down. Of course I have seen Canon Fd lenses for as low as $50 but they were poor to say the least.
The problems I found with the Canon fd lens arent inherent to canon fd lenses only.
Take this for example: http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-50mm-f-1-8-FD-Lens_W0QQitemZ7599840207QQcategoryZ48552QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
I would suggest for a buy it now of $50 it is in average shape. What you need to do is shine a light up through the lens and as you move it in a circular motion you can clearly see the imperfections.
