Fig Rig, Cavision rods plus new 35mm adapter- how?

Just wondering-
although there may be an obvious solution-

my Fig Rig comes with a quick release plate-
Cavision rods come with a plate - not quick release- that the rods mount into- which mounts using the threaded screw into my DVX100A.

My question is- how can I use this DVX+rods with my Rig?

I am going to sit down this am and try to figure this out- but I have a sinking feeling I will need a machinist to custom make a Fig Rig compatible plate that accepts the rods and also fits in the quick release mechanism.

Does anyone else have any expereince or suggestions about this?
Am I missing something obvious?

It works-
must completely remove Quick release plate from Manfrotto though-
so you lose ability to balance cam + rods + 35 mm-

the secure bolt and handle from Manfrotto fits into the Cavision plate -
