This is my first posting. I live in Austria, near the city of Salzburg. Three Years ago I did a period drama called "The Voice". It has been released in several digital cinemas. Shooting budget was around 17.000 Euros, camera was a canon xm2/gl2. My film was influenced by the mood of classic black & white films. "The Voice" was shot in an old shoe factory. We used real clothes from early 20th century. I hope you enjoy my captures.

Greetings from Austria
Cajetan Jacob

Once it is released on DVD "The Voice" will have English subtitles. The official movie "trailer" (it is more a selection of clips :)) is german only, but with little dialogue. Watch it here:

Cajetan,

I'm surprised nobody has responded. These are wonderful grabs. The lighting is excellent, giving a very authentic feel to the black and white choice. Few people that I've seen on this board truly understand the unique lighting demands for monochromatic shooting.

Great job

Thank you for your kind comment. This seems to be a lonely place for canon users.
If I get my HVX 200 in time, I will do some color tests this summer. My new movie is called "The Broken Circle". It is a costume drama about a young prostitute in Austria's belle epoch. I will try to shoot several parts in black & white too, but without the help of color, outdoor scenes could turn out to be very problematic.

Yeah, this side of the DVXuser.com is low in views.

Most XL2 clips are on www.dvinfo.net/conf

Did you shoot straight from the camera and do you have pictures of behind the scene?
