Trying to end a scene on a white flash and need the screen to continue to be completely white for about 3 seconds.

I got the clip to ramp up to be just about completely white but now I need it to hang there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You could do a frame hold or extend the duration of the white part.

Coffee,

I imagined there would be a simple way to make a slug a different color (other than black). I searched in FCP, but I couldn't find it.

use the invert filter.

Or the luminance control for the slug, or do a freeze of the last frame. That is the best part of FCP, so many ways to tackle things.

I use the brightness to make a white slug.

But suppose you simply wanted a slug of another color. Say Yellow.

Is the only way to do that to create the image in PhotoShop and then bring it in?

Naw, I've done it in FCP when mimicing flash frame etc...Slug/brightness/CC

But if you have a very specific color in mind. Photoshop will be quicker.

slug > invert filter > tint filter
