I'm just about to buy a my35 adapter from mike dawson and need to now pick up a 35mm lens so i can shoot with it. It will be a nikon f mount adapter so i was thinking of getting one of these:

The third one. But I would try to get a faster lens. If possible.

by faster what do you mean. How can you tell is a lens is faster then another? Still new at all this stuff sorry for the dumb question.

Try to get at least a 1.8 but really......1.4 being better still, and worth the extra $$

Opps......I don't think I really answered your question. A faster lens lets more light in so the largest fstop determines how fast a lens is. For example....a 1.8 would let more light in than a 2.0, and a 1.4 would let more light in than a 1.8, and a 1.2 would let more light in than a 1.4. So the faster a lens is, the more expensive, therefore a good compromise is the 1.4 but it will be more expensive than the 1.8.

Hope that helps.
