I was reading the user guide on how to do this but I am confused so I wanted to as those that can give me a simple answer.
I'm editing in Premiere Pro 1.5 on a 24p time line I i want to use AE magic bullet to convert 29.97 to 23.976 to edit on the timeline.
Basically. step by, from applying the effect to the export settings, how do I use magic bullet to turn 29.97 to 23.976?

1. Import your footage into AE. Make sure seperate fileds is off in the Interrupt Footage window (select the footage and hit Ctrl F). Also, make sure the frame rate is 29.97.
2. Create a new comp with a frame rate of 23.976 and import your footage into it. If you're using an AE older than 6.5, make sure Best quality is selected.
3. Apply Magic Bullet, pull the trigger, and, voila, you now have 24p footage.
4. Export - you have a few options here. You can Export a quicktime movie at 23.976. Make sure there is no pulldown being introduced in the Render Settings dialog box though. Me personally, I like to export an image sequence (usually TIFF) at 24fps.
Good luck!

Two questions:
1.) Can't I export as a DV AVI at 23.976 or an AVI ar 23.976?
2.) It won't let me pull the damn trigger. Nothing happens! What could be the problem?

It usually tells you what's wrong in the message box. I'm sure you can export to avi at 23.976, I've never it done it though. I prefer image sequences cause they are straight and simple.

The message is simply saying I am about to convert NTSC to 24p for a true 24p master (that's not exact what it says but that is basically it). The video also has the AUTO SETUP logo when I export. Ugh.

Just click the button and you should be good. If that doesn't work I'm lost...

Maybe there was an error in how I installed it?
Most likely an error in how you have your comp and/or footage setup. If it correctly does the convert, it will say "congrats, you have successfully blah blah..." or something like that in the window.

There is a sample project in the manual that really lays it out very simply with screen shots and everything.

And I still haven't figured out how to fix the audio sync issues after converting my 60I to 24p..... I was told that you fix it in an audio editor... I have Cool Edit 2.0... Can anyone tell me STEP BY STEP how to fix my auidio to sync up with my video? Thanks!

Well I found the problem.
Magic Bullet doesn't seem to work with AE 7.0. Adobe has been working on this bug for some time.
