It's an amazing deal, just make sure you have some kind of backup from Ebay or PayPal-
It sounds too good to be true.
I'm really jealous now.

Is that a dual-core chip or simply the dual-processor unit? What version of OSX?
If it's dual-core and Tiger (10.4) then it's a good deal. If it's a dual-processor, it's not a good deal at all.

I can't agree with that. I prefer 2 processors than 1 dual-core.

well, there is no real difference except is there one chip or two - the big difference is the dual cores are faster processors and the dual chips are the older ones/slower. The dual cores also have pci express motherboards and the dual chips have PCI-X.

Let me clarify my point - the dual-core G5s are current and worth more. A dual-processor G5 with those specs is several months old and worth about $500-$600 less than that price, even with all the extra stuff.
As far as the benefits of dual-core vs. dual-processor:
(dual core is 1 chip with 2 processors; dual-processor is 2 chips with 1 processor on each)
dual-core is faster because the chips communicate faster, because they are on the same pipeline. I think up to about 20-30 percent faster (but don't hold me to that).
The dual-core Macs also have faster motherboards, RAM, video card and PCI-X (as soarprod pointed out).
So, tapas_v - get the exact specs of the Mac before making a decision.

then go down the left column of the page the 'Special Deals'
Also do a google search on 'power max' for a very reliable company dealing with refurbs. and used Macs.
