I filmed some more with the black and white mode on the HD100. I shot this with some of my B&W filters for black and white cinematography. I'm shooting for
high contrast for deep blacks. It's amzing to see how well the JVC can do this.
Just like the other clips these are just basic no thrills tests done in HUNTINGTON BEACH,CA where it was freaking cold. Folder title is dated march 13th with clips.

Hey...this Vlan media player seems to play M2T files better than nedia player wit the connect HD codec. Especially with the de-interlace filter on.
Is my eyes playing tricks...?

I soo wish I could upload some of my weddings but I don't think the couples would go for that.

When I did weddings (way back in the olden days) we let our customers know up front that we owned what we shot, and if we liked a particular scene we'd use it in our promotions. I never had a person bat an eyelash. If you approach you previous clients respectfully, most would be thrilled that their wedding merits extra attention. I'd hate to see good HDV footage wasted on the untrained eyes of a bride.:crybaby:

That's interesting! What appears to be the difference?

Just turn the color gain all the way down in the 'camera process' menu and.....voila!!! Black and White!

Thanks!
As Filmguy said turn it down to the off setting!
The HD100 does some of the best Black & White. I like the HD100 results better than my XLH1 in B&W. There is an organic flow to the JVC HD100 in B&W. It's so sweet!
Check out the refinery clips in the folder dated March 13. I love the way it feels!

Nice stuff Pappas. Like the clouds. Did you use Yellow filters on the sky at all? Polarizers? come on give it up... I wonder how long before someone shoots a cool B&W film with this camera. Orson, Orson where are you?!>!
