Awesome links Rich!

In one of my 3D animation classes I watched a film on the beginnings of 3D, and it was pretty good. It was kinda crazy seeing all those people that started it because they named everything after themselves, like blinn, phong, etc..

I like 1948.

What they didn't show is that the appointment was made in 1937. :)

Thanx Rich
My brother David Moore was heavily involved in the 3D evolution and did the first CG film for Disney at the Epcot Center for GM "Universe of Energy"
I was lucky to be a kid and go to LA to work on this with him.

We used a high res raster monitor and shot each rendered frame off of the monitor with a 70 mm intervalometered camera. Those were the days...

Sadly my brother passed away in 1997.

nice...i love hearing about the old school ways...

a friend of mine did all the war room screens in War Games...funny to hear him talk about how much ram and how expensive it was and how they had to program those suckers...
