Yeah, the world is UPSIDEDOWN right now. We're supposed have rain at least through tomorrow and maybe the whole weekend. The worst part is it's only 44 deg F. Single malt weather.

Menacing...
We have over a foot of snow. And have had solid for months. The temperature has been below freezing non stop since early December. It will all begin to melt in a month of so for the first time, but the first "warm" I experience will be at NAB. We'll still get a snow flurry in May here, probably after I've left for my summer vacation in Alaska!

I don't know how you do it, Mikko. I went to Barrow, Alaska for 4 days in June about four years ago. THERE WAS STILL SNOW. The sun never went down and I had to sleep with blackout shades. The freakiest part for me, though, was seeing little kids out playing at midnight.

THAT'S JUNEAU! :)
Taken from (the) "Sandy Beach" on Douglass island. That's the mainland on the other side. That big gap in the trees is where avalanches come down regularly (about every year) and take out the ("the") road.

John, you ever read up on E.H. Shackleton? Your comments made me think of him. He was a captain of a team who wanted to be the first to get to the South Pole, but they got stuck in an Ice Floe for MONTHS. Amazingly, everybody survived, but not without some amazing happenings. That story is RIPE for a good cinematic storyteller...

Wow... I just drove home from church (about 15 miles away) and it took me about 45 minutes! There was snow and ice on all the roads! It's been snowing for about 5 hours straight... with no signs of stopping. I am glad it isn't always like this. I thought I was gunna slide off the road...

It's rather cold in England, had a bit of sleet this morning, but nothing major. Rather pleasant really. As long as you wrapped up warm. :)

Yeah, it's been raining off and on all day here...straight up I-15, about 100-110 miles from you. I'm not complaining, though...except for the cold. We hit 90 deg F (F for our foreign members) in February and today we only got up to 45...

man! I leave for one week and miss the storm of the year in SD!
I can't believe it was hailing, that would be so crazy if it snowed.
I'm sure there would be like a million auto accidents, people can't drive for sh*t there.
