View Full Version : Tips or tricks to change the tune
I woke up yesterday with "The End" by the Doors playing in my head and couldn't shake it until noon. I try thinking of another tune which plays for maybe thirty seconds, then it's right back to the Doors. Today it's Weezer.....Til noon....I can't freakin do it! How do you people change the damned station? How many of you wake up with songs in your head?

I'm constantly singing show tunes, humming Christmas songs, or belting out bad versions of Afternoon Delight.
I don't think there is a fix for this.

tried this method and discovered...Music can swim! And in protest of my attempted drowning it starts flowing loudly from my mouth!:)

the only way to stop it is with some annoying catchy song that you wouldn't want. be glad you've got one you like!

I always thought They Might Be Giants should do a cover of that song.
Anyway, back to topic: The way I get a tune out of my head is just to start singing Cutting Crew's "Died in Your Arms Tonight." That'll unstick anything ... of course then you'll have that song stuck in your head ... and that's not good for anybody. Nevermind.

But can ANYTHING be worse than "It's a Small World" at Disneyland? I HATE the song. I used to take my daughter there when she was young and that effen song would be stuck in my head for a week. :furious3:

Thanks for reminding me that I'm young and have many years ahead of me (maybe) :) Yeah, I used to watch reruns of that stupid show when I was little. Still remember the song... can't believe it.

I actually still remember it as well, but only when you mentioned it. Thanks to you I have that song stuck in my head and I'm about to jump up on my desk and start singing away...gotta pass it on! :thumbsup:

Maybe try tongue twisters instead...Peter Piper, or the Seashells by the Seashore thing. I usually just cuss alot, though.
