Ok.. So im an audio guy, and im looking to streamline the integration with my editor, but cutting sound effects on one scene while he works with the next one.

I then want to send my composition/sequence back to the editor in CLIP form - naturally, this is OMF.

But, final cut pro does not support importing OMF's. pretty strange because how can it export, but not import??! anyway, it cant.

Is there some way around this? ive just been reading about automatic duck's Pro Import FCP 2.0 which will give this ability with a plugin, being released quite soon.

But is there another way to achieve this?

Automatic Duck is the only way I know how.

brilliant, thanks man. im asking on behalf of the local film school here in sa, and my own post team, but am i correct that only the new version 2 of pro import FCP will do transfers into FCP from DAW's like Pro Tools and Nuendo?

thanks, appreciate the help, o-esteemed edit people.

yeah, i think that's right. but i would ask them that question. i was told by "wes" at automatic duck that v2 would be out in april.
