I have a Canon 518 super 8 camera, and I'm shooting my first roll of color film. I had shot about 30 feet or so,(I'm not exactly sure) then my friend accidentally opened the film compartment door, which reset the counter. I was wondering if the film will stop when it gets to the end or if it will stop when it gets to 50 on the counter. Because if i keep shooting to 50, I will be shooting over old frames. Should I just play it safe and only shoot a couple more feet, or should I keep shooting till the film stops. Sorry if this is a newbie question, but since this is my first roll, I really dont know. Thanks.

The film will stop, when it reaches the end of the roll. Opening the door does nothing to the Super 8 cartridge except expose maybe 7 or 8 frames.
