Wow! Those are some awesome photos! Nice work. I need to get myself a nice digital camera. One of many expenses I would like. If only I had an endless reserve of money. Or even just $100,000.00 to start with.

Yeah Watson... I'm having trouble picking a favorite... but for some reason I really like the "Polizia" pic... it reminds me of a comic book... I like the way the black and white plays with the molded construction of the clear lexan shield... and the Polizia grows towards us in a seemingly playful font.
I don't know why but that one evokes more emotion in me then the others. They're all good though.
EDIT: I looked again... no the Polizia shot is clearly my favorite. (pun intended)

Thanks. that was a favor for a friend. The guy in the photo was being a little pushy, and when he said it stunk in there of urine and he could barely stand it, I made him stay there for a few more minutes "to get the right shot". heh.

hey, thanks guys. i'm using a canon 10d with a 24mm, 70-300mm and a 50mm.... well that was until i drop the 50mm down a staircase in florence last weekend. now the lens is sitting on my desk in 3 pieces. bummer. but yea. the first picture is with the 50mm and then the rest are with the 24mm.

That's pretty freakin nice for stock glass! What are your overall thoughts about Canon? I'm currently looking into getting the Nikon D70s but going with Canon has crossed my mind once or twice...

I love the Canons (especially when paired with their pro lenses), but they're all I've known up until trying out this HVX for video side. My sister loves her D70. I think it comes down to the lenses you want, and the ability to get to the settings you like the fastest. Since I'm used to the Canon, I stick with it. Even at 6MP with stock lens I've been able to make beautiful 24X36 posters (from photos like this (http://www.glorycubed.com/sm/~/Soon_Enough.jpg) it's color so I'll leave it as a link). You can see a lot of photos with the stock lens I've taken at my online photo gallery (http://mrglory.deviantart.com/gallery/?view=1&order=9&limit=24) most have the EXIF data with the picture.

Hey, thanks for the info man. 24x36 at 6mp, that's awesome! I'll make sure to check out your gallery! Might change my mind about what camera to get. I've heard great things about the 20D.

Hey Everyone,
Well I know we all love our semiconductor cameras, heck I have a Phase 1 and a D200. But how about some old fashion Pol. Type 55 ? And the shot of the little girl, an art director ask me “What edge filter did you use?” I said… Film.
Hope you like ‘em

Oh cool... one of those compact / SLR hybrids...
I was on the lookout for a digital camera myself and wanted something I could carry around without the bulk... I settled on a CANON A610... excellent little camera... like a tiny SLR with all the manual override controls one could dream of, incl. M, A, P, S, manual focus and more.... very happy with that camera... I'll post a couple of shots...
