Graphics cards/ Quadro FX 540 vs 1400. Which is better?

I have been looking for a graphics card for so so long and I cant find the answer anywyere. I am trying to decide between Nvidia Quadro FX 540 or Quadro FX 1400.

Can someone just tell me if After effects will render or perform any better with the 1400 over the 540?

It compares both. I have the 1400 and with AE7 previews & rendering did speed up quite nicely...don't have any experience with the 540.

The Quadro FX 1400 almost doubles the 540 in performance. It is considered a Mid-range card, while the 540 is an entry-level card. I would go with the 1400 without a doubt.
