Hi,
does anybody know if Avid XpressHD can export timeline as MXF file?? this way we could copy it to P2 card, and watch it on an HD monitor without any AJA or Blackmagic card. Thanks.

Writing an MXF is not a function of Avid Express Pro HD.

If your video card is capable of the resolution you should be able to watch your stuff on the same (HD) monitor you referenced above from the time line. *I think*

You can record back to the P2 card through firewire streaming from the Avid, which would let you do what you're asking. Don't know how practical that workflow would be, but if it's something you want to do, you can "crash capture" by going in MCR mode, turning off the thumbnail screen, and telling Avid to "print to video" through the firewire, and then pressing the two VCR REC buttons on the HVX.
