If you get Raylight you can edit DVCPRO-HD with Vegas. But it would take a really, really fast computer to make it realtime.

Barry:
Could you define a really fast computer?
I've got a PC computer that's in the 4000+ AMD single core.
Maybe we should list the available computers speeds and their resulting frame rates, and arrive at some minimum acceptable models.
If the PC doesn't cut it, then I'd consider getting a basic Mac.
Thanks.

Well, that's a good idea.
AFAIK, David Jimerson got 720p at realtime on an AMD 4400+, but not 1080.
Anyone else?

http://www.matrox.com/video/support/ds/software/codec/home.cfm
for the codec, and go to www.dvfilm.com (http://www.dvfilm.com) to learn more about Raylight.
The owner is a great guy, and there is also a support forum there. .
