For those who have upgraded to AE7, how do you like it? Is it worth the upgrade price of $199?
Have they added more text animation presets? I would like to use AE more for motion graphics than effects, how well do you think AE7 compares to Motion 2?

Personally I love it. I have really enjoyed all of the UI enhancements. Plus there are a ton of little things that have really sped up my workflow. I haven't got into many of the new features yet (all work and no play, lately). But as soon as I get a break, I plan on checking everything out. I did convert my latest project from 6.5 and finished it in 7.0. After about an hour in 7.0, I noticed how much faster my workflow was. I will NEVER look back to 6.5 again. Others might say that it is a minimal upgrade, but I have found that it is worth it's weight in gold. Get your hands dirty and try out the demo version on the Adobe website to see if it is right for you.
I have never used Apple Motion before so I can't really compare the two. But I have used Apple Shake. Shake and AE are two different beasts. I originally was a Shake user (thats what I was taught in College), but since I am on PC, I made the jump to AE a few years back. At first I hated AE, and thought it was definetly inferior to Shake (maybe it is). But, after I got some experience under my belt I realized a lot of it has to do with the user not the software. I would imagine the same would go for AE vs Motion. Try them out and see what you like. All I know is that I couldn't live without my AE now.
