Can HVX output 16x9 onto a 4x3 monitor?

I know you can send a 16x9 letterboxed onto 4:3 from the z1, but wondered if you can from the HVX....if so....where is the menu setting??

Nope. It doesn't do any aspect-ratio conversion in-camera.

A quick tip:
Remember that it's very easy to adjust the vertical picture size of CRT monitors. Most have a dedicated v-size pot. inside, that you need to turn with a screwdriver.
You just need to open it up find the pot and beware of the deadly high voltage parts!
Works great, but a bit cumbersome if you want to switch back and forth....

A local techshop can mount in a switch. Costs a bit, but well worth the money and cheaper then a new monitor...
But if you just need an excuse to go for a nice new LCD-panel I never said a thing offcourse. :)
