I did a little interlaced to progressive test on my FX1 with Vegas 6. I thought it turned out pretty swell.

What do you guys think? What can be fixed to make it look better?

I cant see it, export it as an mpeg or something.

Use VLC Player to view it.

Download VLC Player Here (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)

If that doesn't work, then I'll export to .mpeg

I dont get stuff like VLC. I keep it strictly apple software on my computer.

Doesn't work for VLC on a mac anyway. I get the error that says it doesn't support "wmv3". I really want to see it, if it's not too much trouble to export as something else it would be very much appreciated.

I 'might' be able to check out that clip on my home system... tried it on the system at my office and it seems like it's a power-hungry video file... maybe reduce it's size a bit? (It will only play about 4 seconds, before the video starts to freeze, play, freeze, play... etc...)

Ok. I converted it to a .mpg so you all should be able to see it. Obviously the quality went down, but that really isn't the essence of this thread.

Approx 11MB

Eh dosnt look like it worked out to well. I think 60i to 24p is to big of a jump.

I agree.

I'm going to sell my FX1 for a 100B pretty soon. I'v had it since August and is in great condition. So if anyone wants an FX1, well, I'm selling it.

It didn't look bad I don't think any common viewer would have a problem with it but I've seen way better 60i to 24p than this. If you really want to learn to do it you need to read up on dvinfo.net not dvxuser for this kind of stuff. It'd be like getting dvx information from anywhere but dvxuser.

Arc, Message me your price.

I'm possibly interested. It didn't look like film, I'll agree, but that's not really what the camera is for anyway.
