That footage looks really good. I like the high contrast black and white stuff. It was also good for a laugh or two.

I too have difficulty playing this. Actually, I am unable to play any .mov file embedded in an HTML page (I get a "component missing and unavailable from the quicktime server message). Yet any .mov file I download and play with Quicktime player works fine...

it looks amazing. :D :D :D :D

.....except for one thing. Exactly 2min into the film, there's a dark background with some absolutely attrocious compression artifacts. It almost looks like it was put in there as a side effect of some image manipulation.
Was it, or is h.264 really that bad at low datarates?

Haha, those dogs are so damn cute! I've shot quite a bit of dog stuff myself. It's funny how dogs tend to be the first thing people shoot when getting a new cam.

Good depth of field on a lot of the shots. Did you use a 35mm adapter, or was it the HVX lens by itself? Great footage and music.

That was nice and encouraging to get the camera. I think Panasonic should give you some $$$ for that.

Post more stuff you have done! you already have an audience.

Was the footage treated with the different Magic Bullet Suite Looks presets?

Great looking footage. The blacks look amazing. I'm surprised someone hasn't posted about the Canon being superior and/or some other nonsense.

Those are some ferocious fighting fur balls. I miss having a couple of dogs to watch... instigate and bet on who wins. Now, I just have a 5 year old son and a 3 year old.. so I get my own version of UCF everytime my back is turned... or when the chicken nuggets run out.

Great footage!!! I am amazed at the images you captured. I have not had time to use my cam but I just started to shoot some stuff. I need to get my chops up because I will shoot a 20 min. infommercial (Boat Manufacturer) w/ the HVX next month. I have used a SDX 900 in the past and love that camera as well as the DVX100's. I am working out a workflow for at least 12 hours worth of footage... Many P2s, P2 Store and/or PB w/ many Smartdisk 100g in a pelican. Another hurdle is a housing and a leveling head (makohead). The gig is on the water in the FL. Keys.

Will advise... cheers to all the HVXers

Beautiful footage Emanuel,

I have a question . . . the aspect ratio looks well beyond 16 x 9. Did you shoot with an anamorphic adadter or did you crop? Thanks for the info. Again, lovely footage.
