I just ordered the HVX200 and I was wondering when and if Barry is releasing a "HVX Book" like he did for the DVX series.
Also, how much would I benefit from buying the DVX Book? I am assuming most of the principles and settings are the same on the DVX and HVX. So should I just check out that book, or should I wait for the HVX version.
I am a new Panasonic user (previously a VX2100 user), and so far this website has been a great help. Thanks to everyone that has been answering all of the newbies questions. I've learned quite a bit.

I heard somewhere (maybe my dreams) that there would be some sort of deal for HVX purchasers. I would love to know too. At one point, I thought the end of Feb was a release date for it.
I neeeeeed Barry's book!

It's coming; first draft is done. Whole package should be done in the next few weeks...

I hear Barry's book includes an entire section on how to film an old lady being hit by a van in slow-mo. That alone has my panties in a bunch with excitement.

Thanks Barry.
Mr Blonde,
Is it for one of those "Just tell the old lady that you hit her with a van because you got high" TV commercials? I'll watch for it.

Yeah Barry, what gives? I just spent 15 minutes reading a joke thread about "the clunk noise" in the Panasonic, and now I know I am an idiot. I was thinking..."Hey mine makes a clunk noise too". At least I wasn't one of the ones that called Panny tech support about the rattle noise. But, all the way up to the point where they said the guy needed a flux capacitor, I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not. Basically what I am trying to say is...I need your book. Also, I just got my HVX in the mail a few days ago. After using a Sony VX2100 for the past 2 years, I am very intimidated by all of the buttons, settings, and menu options in this new camera. I've read through the manual cover to cover, but it seems so generic and lacking detail.
