I have been messing around with the camera and have gotten pretty close to what i want with grain reduction and colors etc. But i was wondering if a couple people could post their settings for me to try out and compare. Sweet, thanks.

Thanks, this is close to what i use. I was wondering though what the chroma level adjusts? In the manual it just says "to adjust the chroma level." NEwayz, I assume on the frame rate option i should have it set to 24 frames a second, and the recording mode set to 720p,24p? Thanks.

chroma level adjusts the amount of color in the image - so a higher level gives more vibrant colors

That setting will be pretty noisy in shadowy or red areas...

what would you suggest as an alternative ash?

I have tested a whole bunch of settings and this one seems actually better then cine-v because the increased latitude smoothes out the noise.

I have a vid of all the tests as soon as I can find a good enough compression to show the differences but not be a 1 gig vid Ill post it

Try Black Press, that gets rid of a lot of noise...

I ran some more tests this weekend with the unforgiving dell 2045 monitor. Noise is just not an issue - I am sure of that now. Take a look at a film in the theater - the grain is comparable.

cine-v is fine - and looks best IMHO
