Just wondering if I shoot VFR 720 24pn@48, can I down res to minidv tape in camera on location and transfer the overcrank? Would help save some time using a laptop. We only need SD for the shoot, going to DVD but really need the VFR.

Since the original footage is native how does capturing to FCP get effected from the tape version?

Since its a small piece with DVD as the target this will help not having to bring a laptop for now.
