How to import XML to FCP 4.5

I am trying to import the XML files to FCP from a p2 card. My p2 card registers in my mac just fine, however when i try to import the XML files it asks for a translation document trying to import the files from the video folder. Can someone please tell me what files to grab or exactly how to get the footage onto my computer step by step? Thanks

I think you mean MXF right? You also nead FCP 5.04.
