MXF file for anyone who wants it

I had a request for an MXF file so I posted it for anyone who wants to "practice" workflow with it. All I ask is you post or PM me with any solutions you come up with to the editing and other issues.

i dont use FCP - I could help with avid - if you look around people have had lots of success with FCP

this is an mxf. not a rendered movie

you gotta tell us whats the details for this mxf file?

is it 720?, 1080?, what frame rate???

im trying to work with it on my Avid xpress pro HD 5.2.1 and it keeps telling me"The import file is not a supported XDCAM MXF file"

Mook - sorry about that - it is a 720P 24 frames/sec

Import not work with MXF.
Try Media tools.

Ok sorry maybe I am just stupid here but I am having a hard time understanding the workflow situation here.
The camera when going to the P2 cards records in some P2 format that my NLE system can work with. But, say I have to do some After Effects on a shot. Then I have to convert the footage to DVCPRO-50 or somthing like? Then put it back into the NLE and things are happy? Is there ever any rendering or converting that would take time ? Like P2 to quicktime? I don't get what these MXF files are. They are the RAW P2 files? When I download them they just turn into text files on my computer. So if someone who is smarter than me post back that would be great.
P.S. Does the HVX have a smooth zoom? That was my one gripe with the DVX the zoom was so bad that I could never use it. Ok I will shut up now.

this media tool workflow just simply does not work right - it works occasionally but not incrementally - i just added more files restarted avid and those new files are not showing - what settings are you using in media tools?
