I think now it reports a "busy" error - instead of crashing - normally it works fine after a few seconds and hitting reload.

It appears to do it with about 400+ people on the board.

yeah dont really need to archive stuff.. our database is only just under a gb, so it should be fine. just need more memory, faster cpu etc.

both boards are still running till i get things totally migrated, so things still will be a little slow at times.

The forum's auto-mailer (that sends out e-mail notices, for example of PMs) address has changed with the new server. They went to my junkmail box untill I spotted them and added the new address to my safelist.


I'm glad to see "who's online" back up and running too. :thumbsup:
Is there any way we can have a listing of users reading a thread in the actual thread pages? One forum I visit not only show's who is reading, but also who'a currently posting in the thread you are reading.

ok, I'm sure it's quite obvious to everyone including Jarred but I can't seem to use the search function yet.. well, actually if I search for the term 'dvxuser' it comes back ok, but I tried several other search terms that I know are in multiple threads, but nothing came back. For example I tried searching for 'DvRigPro' or 'schneider'... nada.

...and I used to have about as many subscriptions as Hudson has posts (maybe this is why the server needed upgrades, crazy subscription junkies!)

Well, maybe this is why I was walking around my apartment with my DvRigPro on, getting a little practice in... since the server went down and my mailbox doesn't get any email notifications I think I've been getting a lot more work done! ;-)
