Not to shabby. I expected alot less from the thread title, but I'm quite impressed! Would you mind sharing the details behind your methods and dimensions??? I might just test one out for myself this week--it doesn't look too pricey a concept.

I made the same thing last year, using the same construction technique -- except I was making a collapsable lightbox/reflector (and used foamcore). Looks identical to what I made though...

holymexicobatman,
You will need two A2 black cardboards, duct tape, crazy glue and double sided tape (a lot).
First you draw the dimensions of the lens hood, and find the center of each line. The top and bottom cardboard measures 14cm from head to tail, and it's 24cm wide.

Crazy-glue the "borrelås" to the box. I tried with double sided tape, but it wasn't strong enough.
You also have to stick "borrelås" onto your lens-cap to attach it. Anyway, after this, you cut out similar sized Top/bottom and side parts and glue stick it on top of the inner part of the mattebox (the part with duct tape), and cover the sides with black electrician's tape and you're done!
I have this feeling borrelås = velcro strips. Is that right?
This is "borrelås" http://www.blindesprodukter.no/gfx/products/normal/borrelaas.jpg
