So many things to learn. Where to start?

Well, the title pretty much explains it.

I want to learn as much as I possibly can between now and summer and though I tried to jump from forum to forum, I just got lost in weird abbreviations and random incomprehensable phrases.

I would just like to know where a good place to start would be. Like a newbie forum or something, I don't know. Just please give me a starting point.
